Bill Bryant, sports columnist for the Huntsville (AL) Times, wrote a funny story about holiday letters and a local team that won the 2010 USTA League 4.0 Men's National Championship.
In the Dec. 26 edition, Bryant wrote that he really enjoyed a letter about one player:
"But he does more than self-deprecate. He can play a little tennis, too, as can a number of his friends. In late October in Tucson, Ariz., he hit the final shot at the USTA 4.0 national tournament, securing the championship for his team. To put that accomplishment in its proper context, more than 300,000 folks play USTA tennis each year, and only one percent of them reach the national tournament. To win it all once there is a whole other story."
