COLUMBIA S.C. -- Jessica Harrell will return to USTA South Carolina as the Director of Adult Programs, starting mid-November. She will lead USTA Adult Leagues, beginner programs and social leagues.

“South Carolina has a great base of tennis people: volunteers, pros, fans, and players. I’m looking forward to expanding our tennis outreach in adult programs to include more players in our great sport while continuing to build what Mary Goins has established as a great foundation of Adult Leagues for so many years,” Harrell said.

Harrell has worked at UTSA Southern since 2014. As the Junior Team Tennis & TennisLink Coordinator, she managed junior tournament rankings and selections, TennisLink technology, and all JTT operations--both locally and the advancing National Championship track.

Prior to working at Southern, she was on staff at USTA South Carolina for nearly five years. She oversaw Tournament Competition, Officials, and Player Development, as the Competition Coordinator.

A cum laude graduate of the University of South Carolina with a bachelor's degree in Sport and Entertainment Management, Harrell gained practical experience through several internships in different areas of the industry, including sales and sponsorship, marketing and operations. In addition, she gained experience in revenue development in a Top 25 athletic program in the nation, as well as a tier 1 WTA professional tennis tournament.
