Tennessee Takes Three in 2014 55 & Over Championships

USTA Southern crowned eight champions of the 2014 USTA League 55 & Over Southern Sectional Championships, played in Asheville, N.C.

Tennessee had three champions, one each from Knoxville, Nashville and Memphis. North Carolina had two victors from Charlotte, along with a finalist. Louisiana was well represented with a champion and two finalists.

There were 75 men’s and women’s teams with more than 750 players playing in 157 team matches (471 individual matches) in NTRP levels: 3.0, 3.5, 4.0 and 9.0 combined.

Matches were played at the Asheville Racquet Club Downtown (tournament headquarters), the Asheville Racquet Club South and Aston Park Tennis Center.

Some states were represented by two teams, labeled (A) and (B).
