The North Carolina Tennis Foundation is pleased to announce the newly renovated and relocated North Carolina Tennis Hall of Fame is now open to the public. The cutting-edge technology featured in the new Hall of Fame puts North Carolina’s rich tennis history at each guest’s fingertips. The goal of this project was to create a place where the tennis players and enthusiasts of North Carolina could come together and celebrate tennis in North Carolina. The Hall of Fame will be open Monday-Friday 8:30am-4:30pm and on weekends by appointment only.

The USTA Southern Section has announced that USTA Southern Director of Communications and Publications, Holly Goddard, had been named as the new USTA Southern Director of Adult Tennis. Goddard will be transitioning into the role, currently held by Marilyn Sherman, at a timetable to be determined.

The USTA is serving up an ambitious and exciting community initiative with a series of “Tennis Block Parties” in markets nationwide.

Tennis fans will be able to see first-hand high level action as professionals hit the courts at Tunica National Golf and Tennis for the $50,000 United States Tennis Association (USTA) Pro Challenger tournament May 3-10. The event will bring tennis professionals and celebrities from around the world for an exciting week of tennis action in Tunica.

The 3rd Annual AVT $25K Challenger was held at the Fort Walton Beach Tennis Center in Fort Walton Beach, Florida last weekend. This eight day tournament drew in some of the best tennis players in the country. Georgia Native, Melanie Oudin had an incredible run reaching the final round of the ITF tournament.

Top seed Ashley Harkleroad from Rossville, GA advanced to the final at the Dow Corning Tennis Classic, a $75,000 USTA Pro Circuit event in Midland
