Herring Wins In Hilton Head

USTA Southern player Lauren Herring and doubles partner Brooke Bolender defeated Elizabeth Lumpkin and first seed Amanda Fink in the Quarterfinals of the Head/Tail Pro Circuit tournament 6-2, 6-4. After moving on to the Semifinal round, Herring and Bolender won 3 tiebreaks to beat Megan Falcon of the U.S. and Nicole Slater of Great Britain with a final score of 6-7(5) 7-6(4) [12-10], allowing them to advance to the finals.
 
Facing off against Erica Krisan and fourth seed Jacqueline Cako of the U.S. in the final round, Herring and Bolender unfortunately came up short in both games. Krisan and Cako took the victory, winning 6-1, 6-4.
 
Cako also competed in the final round of the singles draw against U.S. player, Alexis King. King came out on top, defeating Cako 6-2, 6-2.
