Sunny skies with warm temperatures greet the USA and Germany 55 ladie.

Susan Wright playing No. 2 singles cruised 6-0, 6-0 She once again served big and had penetrating ground strokes, controlling the match from start to finish.

I played No. 1 singles, struggled early in the first set before pulling away 6-2, 6-1.

Doubles was delayed due to a court availability issue. There are just a few too many teams for 75 courts thus officials are staggering some matches. The USA doubles team of Pat Purcell and Tina Kawalsky took the court knowing that the USA ladies had advanced to the semifinal round. The dubs team continued their winning ways putting away the German doubles team in straight sets.

This completes the bracket where USA advances to the semifinals without losing a match.

A day off tomorrow but we may have rain on Friday?? Yikes!!!
