USTA Georgia: Marketing and Communication Specialist
USTA Georgia is seeking a qualified individual to fill the position of Marketing and Communication Specialist. The ideal candidate will possess the skills to develop a comprehensive marketing plan utilizing social media, design of collateral pieces and written communications to build brand awareness throughout the state. Specific responsibilities include, but not limited to: Production of online yearbook, press releases, event promotion, case studies/statements to tell the USTA Georgia story, media relationships and public relations.
Requirements:
• College degree in marketing and/or communications, or a related field
• Creative thinking
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• High level of proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong writing skills
• Experience with publishing software programs such as Quark Express or Adobe Creative Suite
• Two-three years of marketing experience is desirable
• Tennis experience helpful, but not required
USTA Georgia is the state arm of the United States Tennis Association, and is the largest of nine states within the Southern Section. A professional staff carries out USTA Georgia’s daily operations from its offices in in Marietta, Georgia. The Executive Committee and Board of Directors sets policies, and much of the organization’s work is executed via committees comprised of over 100 volunteers, and a network of 42 Community Tennis Associations.
