USTA Southern produces a variety of publications each year, including an annual yearbook, three eight-page inserts that prints in USTA Magazine and a bi-monthly electronic newsletter.
YearBook
Southern Tennis 2009, the annual USTA Southern yearbook, makes its first appearance as an online publication this year.
Click here to see the book as an animated magazine, with many of the features only the Internet can bring. The pages turn; e-mail and web site links are all active; search works for information; click on section tabs to go to specific pages; use the indexes for content and advertisements. Pages can also be updated so we can keep current with revised tournament schedules and other information.
Still, the yearbook is still a printed book. It has been mailed to more than 127,000 households in the Southern Section. Members can keep a copy for their records, read important information on tournaments, rankings and the Sectional organization, whether it be in their living room or on court.
The 140-page, full-color publication updates members on 2008 Southern achievements, last year's rankings, upcoming tournament schedules, our new executive committee and other volunteers that are leading Southern tennis to new heights. Our featured article is QuickStart Tennis.

State Publications and Yearbooks
Members in most of the nine Southern states are scheduled to receive a variety of annual publications. Arkansas, Georgia, North Carolina and Tennessee produced online magazines. South Carolina members received a printed yearbook. Kentucy and Mississippi members received calendars. In 2009 Alabama did not print its own yearbook but instead printed its material inside an expanded version of USTA Southern's yearbook.
Please make sure your address is correct in the USTA Membership database as these books cannot be forwarded with the rest of your mail if you move. To make changes to your USTA member information, contact USTA Member Services. USTA Magazine Insert
In September of 2005 the USTA Southern Section rolled out its first USTA Magazine insert. As we move forward this insert will be printed three times per year and will cover a wide variety of Southern tennis news.
All past issues will be available online as .pdf. documents. (To view these files you must have Adobe Acrobat Reader. Additionally please be patient as the files are large.)
Electronic Newsletters
USTA Southern distributes its e-newsletter bi-monthly. It is normally emailed out to members who have signed up to receive it on the first and third Friday of each month. If you have not yet signed up to receive Southern's e-newsletter you can do so here.
