Wilson and USTA Southern hosted the Wilson Pro-Staff Challenge for Tri-Level Southern Invitational players Oct. 13, the evening before the tournament started. Players were invited to come out and experience the new Wilson Pro Staff and Blade racquets, socialize with other players, and enjoy the famous beer truck, courtesy of Parham Bridges Tennis Center, Jackson, Miss.

Upon check-in, players received a USTA towel, and could select either a Wilson grip, wristband, hat, towel or shirt. Players participated in one-hour sessions, rotating between different courts and drills and trying out different Wilson racquets. At the end of each session, players relaxed and replenished with a catered meal and beer. More than 85 players attended, and six lucky raffle winners took home new Wilson Tour backpacks.

Wilson Sporting Goods Regional Sales Manager Steve Huber said, "Based on the feedback that I have heard from people who were involved, I thought the Tri-Level activation went extremely well. I believe we created a fun atmosphere for the captains and players by providing food, music and great drills on the court. I look forward to next year’s event!"

Using this Tri Level event as an example, it is evident that the partnership between USTA Southern and Wilson can produce great things for the tennis player.

2017 will be a banner year for both companies as we try to grow the game together.

USTA Southern Marketing Director Laura Fanjoy added, "We had a great time hosting the Pro-Staff Challenge with Wilson. When you combine tennis, prizes, and delicious food, what more do you need?! We're pleased with the turnout and glad the players enjoyed themselves before the competition started. Thanks to Parham Bridges Tennis Center for all of their help!"
