The USTA Southern men and the Mid-Atlantic women were crowned the 2013 USTA League 18 & Over 4.5 National Champions at the Jim Reffkin Tennis Center in Tucson, Ariz.

The USTA Southern men and the Mid-Atlantic women were crowned the 2013 USTA League 18 & Over 4.5 National Champions at the Jim Reffkin Tennis Center in Tucson, Ariz.
The men from Ridgeland, Miss., under the guidance of team captain Mitchell Peters, defeated USTA Pacific Northwest in the final, winning three out of five matches. Melissa Kahn's women’s team from Merrifield, Va., rolled past USTA Southern, winning four of five matches to claim the championship.
All 17 USTA sections were accounted for in the 34 teams who competed this weekend, capping another solid weekend of USTA League Nationals.
“It was perfect, it went very smoothly,” tournament director Darcy Cobb said. “We couldn’t have had better weather and we had a wonderful staff as well as wonderful players.”
The 2013 USTA League National Championships continue in Tucson, Ariz., on Fri., Oct. 25 with the Adult 18 & Over 3.5 League National Championships.
