Team USA will be well represented in the singles draws this year at Wimbledon, with 16 women and seven men gearing up for first-round action next week.

Leading the charge is Serena Williams, who opens her quest for a sixth Wimbledon crown against qualifier Margarita Gasparyan. A potential fourth-round match awaits with big sister and No. 16 seed Venus Williams, who begins her campaign for a sixth Wimbledon singles title against fellow American Madison Brengle.

Serena is the first player to enter Wimbledon with a shot at the calendar-year Grand Slam since Jennifer Capriati in 2001. If the world No. 1 can win Wimbledon, she will enter the US Open looking to become the first player to win all four majors in the same year since Steffi Graf in 1988. She would also become the first player to hold all four major titles at the same time since she first accomplished the Serena Slam in 2002-03.

No. 21 seed Madison Keys is looking to make the second week at Wimbledon for the first time in her career. She plays Stefanie Voegele in the opening round and has a potential blockbuster third-round match with No. 12 seed and reigning Wimbledon finalist Eugenie Bouchard. With former Wimbledon champion Lindsay Davenport in her corner as coach, she could be poised for a deep run at SW19.

Other notable first-round matchups featuring American women include Alison Riske against recent French Open finalist and No. 6 seed Lucie Safarova, Irina Falconi taking on No. 11 seed Karolina Pliskova and Shelby Rogers facing No. 14 seed Andrea Petkovic.

On the men's side, No. 17 seed John Isner is also hoping to advance to the second week at Wimbledon for the first time in his career. He starts his campaign against veteran player Go Soeda and could face reigning US Open champion and No. 9 seed Marin Cilic in the third round.

No. 31 seed Jack Sock has a tricky opener to start against big-serving Australian Sam Groth. Should he get through that, an almost guaranteed Centre Court match against No. 2 seed Roger Federer would await in the third round.

Other notable first-round matches featuring American men include Sam Querrey against Igor Sijsling, Tim Smyczek facing the always-entertaining No. 30 seed Fabio Fognini and wild card Denis Kudla looking for an upset against No. 28 seed Pablo Cuevas.

The 2015 Wimbledon championships run from June 29 to July 12.
