The USTA today announced the city of Cayce, S.C., located in the metro area of Columbia, has been selected to host the 2012 and 2013 USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships. The Championships will be played October 19-21 & 26-28, 2012 and October 18-20 & 25-27, 2013.
The USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships features the top 16 teams from across the country. With an Advanced and Intermediate division, players are competing for a national title in a fun, non-stressful environment, while learning the value of team work and camaraderie.
Two tournament sites have been selected. One is the "New" Cayce Tennis and Fitness Center which has 30 courts, seven permanent 36' courts and twelve lined 60' courts, and a two- story 11,000 sq. ft clubhouse with fitness and conference rooms. The facility is located seven miles from downtown Columbia. The other selected facility is the Lexington County Tennis Complex, which has 21 courts, including six 60' lined courts, a two-story 4,200 sq. ft clubhouse with conference room and is located five miles from downtown Lexington. The River Bank Zoo will host the player party.
