Auburn To Host 2013 Tennis On Campus Southern Championship

Mandatory Captain’s Meeting
will be held via conference call.
A representative from your team must be on one of the two scheduled calls. (Dates and times to be announced.)

The 2013 USTA Tennis on Campus Southern Championship will be played Feb. 23-24 at the Yarbrough Tennis Center and the intramural courts on the Auburn campus in Auburn, Ala.
Court surfaces
Matches will be played on hard and clay courts.
Entry Info
Entry deadline is Monday, Feb. 4.
The first 16 teams that enter each draw by the deadline will be guaranteed a spot in that draw (see info below regarding the two draws). "B" teams are encouraged to enter.

Host hotels
Hampton Inn (334.821.4111) - $79 per night
Holiday Inn Express (334.502.1090) - $94 per night.
Teams are strongly encouraged to book their rooms early!! Your credit card will not be charged until you check out of the hotel on Feb. 24. Call to reserve your rooms by Feb. 2 and ask for rooms under the "USTA Tennis on Campus" room block to guarantee the group rate.
All players will receive a T-Shirt and awards will be given to the top two teams in each draw.
Tournament format
World Team Tennis collegiate format will be used.All teams are encouraged to visit www.wtt.com and click on "Collegiate" under the "Local Leagues and Tournaments" tab. For a complete explanation of the World Team Tennis Collegiate rules, click on "Scorecard" located on the right side of the page and see page 2.
Team members
We suggest teams have at least three men and three women (maximum 10 players) available to play all weekend.
Individual Eligibility
Players must be enrolled for a minimum of ½ full-time for undergraduate students and 6 credit hours for graduate students. Players may not be a current varsity team member. There is a limit of one former varsity player per team. Click here for more info.
USTA rules will be followed throughout the tournament where applicable. Any variations will be discussed at the Captain’s Meeting.
We will have two separate draws at this event. "A" teams from BCS football conferences (ACC and SEC) must enter the draw with five automatic bids to the 2013 USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship on the line.
The other draw is open to teams from schools that are in a non-BCS football conference and all "B" teams. This draw will have one bid to the 2013 USTA Tennis on Campus National Championship on the line. "A" teams from schools in a non-BCS football conference may choose which draw to enter.
