USTA Southern has made changes that will affect Sectional Levels, Point Level Tables and Seeding Criteria for 2009. Please look at this information closely. Many changes on tournament levels, and an actual addition of Point Level (1-A), as well as a clear explanation of the seeding process have been adopted by USTA Southern.
The standings as of January 1, 2009, will have the new point levels applied retroactively. For any questions, please contact either Sandy Hastings at
hastings@sta.usta.com or Bill Ozaki at
ozaki@sta.usta.com.
As in 2008, we will continue to count the doubles events at different tournaments as National Level events. With the Combined Standings, we were allowed to add these events since we do not host doubles during our Designated events.
