September 24, 2008 03:12 PM

Atlantan Kate Fuller captured her first two International Tennis Federation titles at the Atlanta ITF Championships. Fuller defeated Alex Anghelescu, also of Atlanta, 6-0, 6-3 for the singles title and 30 minutes later teamed with Grace Min of Atlanta for the doubles title over Kristen Dewar and Fidan Manishirova. Nashville’s Ryan Lipman defeated Russia’s Mikhail Titov, 6-0, 6-3 for the boys title.

Many of the world’s top juniors are playing in the international tournament that runs through Sunday, Sept. 28.
Eleven countries are represented in the Grade 4 tournament played on hard courts. Draws were 64 boys and 64 girls with 64 doubles teams playing. At least 20 players from USTA Southern competed in the event.

Sponsors included USTA Southern, the Racquet Club of the South, RCS Academy, NetKnacks Tennis Awards and Chick-fil-A.

The International Tennis Foundation conducts junior, adult and senior competitions around the world.
