Southern Juniors Excel in Eddie Herring Championship

Grace Min and Lauren Herring from Greenville, NC won the G16s doubles title last weekend at the Eddie Herr championship in Florida. Min and Herring upset the No. 1 seeded Russian team, Lidziya Marozava and Natalia Pintusava. The win marks Min’s third career Eddie Herr title. In the past Min took home girls’12 doubles and mixed doubles titles.

Melanie Oudin from Marietta, GA also took home the Girls’ 18 singles title after defeating Polands, Katarzyna Piter. Melanie Oudin and doubles partner, Mallory Cecil of Spartanburg, SC, made it all the way to the final round and are set to face Kristy K. Frilling and Asia Muhammad.

Other Southern players that did well in the Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships were Rhyne Williams, Caitlin Williams, Megan Kurey, Tennys Sandgren.
