IMPORTANT JUNIOR SUSPENSION POINT INFORMATION

The USTA Southern Section Junior Competition Committee has been reviewing the issue of “entering two tournaments” at the same time. This is a rule violation of Friend at Court (Reg. 1 N. 11 & 12). STARTING MARCH 23 rd, THE TOURNAMENT DIRECTOR AND THE USTA SOUTHERN SECTION WILL ASSESS THE FIVE (5) JUNIOR SUSPENSION POINTS FOR VIOLATION OF THIS RULE.

11. " A player shall not enter two tournaments at the same time. When entries close, a player shall not be entered in two or more sanctioned tournaments, if any part of the tournaments are scheduled to overlap unless each Tournament Committee involved understands the situation and concurs in writing."

12."Player shall not enter a tournament intending to withdraw if the player's entry is accepted in another tournament." A player shall not enter a tournament with the intention of withdrawing if the player's entry is accepted in another tournament, unless the Tournament Committee for the tournament in which the player has entered understands the situation and concurs with the contemplated action.”

In order to help our Southern players gain access into the highest level of competition, the USTA Southern Section office is staggering the entry deadlines for the Bullfrog Southern Section Designated and Level 3 tournaments. This allows the opportunity to enter your first choice, the BullFrog, hoping for selection. If you are NOT selected, you would be placed on the Alternate List, there are two options:

1. Stay on the alternate list in hopes of getting into the draw, OR
2. Withdraw from the BullFrog Alternate List so you can legally enter another tournament.

OUR GOAL IS TO HELP YOU PLAY AND ATTAIN POINTS AT THE HIGHEST LEVEL OF COMPETITION. If you have any questions, please contact Sandy Hastings at hastings@sta.usta.com.
