February 3, 2006 11:21 AM

Knoxville, TN’s Rhyne Williams and Jackson, MS’s Devin Britton have been invited to attend the USTA's High Performance Davis Cup Camp being held February 6th-12th in La Jolla, California at the Barnes Tennis Center.

The camp is being held in conjunction with the USA Davis Cup first round match against Romania. Only players born in 1991 were invited to attend this camp. The coaches for this training camp are Martin Van Daalen and Mark Merklein.

Rhyne Williams is coming off a win at the prestigious Junior Orange Bowl in the boys 14's. The Junior Orange Bowl is one of the top junior events in the ITF worldwide. Williams also finished the year ranked number one in the USTA Southern Section and number 12 in the nation in the Boys’ 16s.

This past year Devin Britton competed in the Eddie Herr International Junior Tennis Championships, the Orange Bowl and the Junior Orange Bowl where he reached the round of 16 in singles.

J.T. Sundling, Thousand Oaks, CA, Blake Davis, Austin, TX, Austin Krajicek, Brandon, FL and Bradley Klahn, Poway, CA will be joining Williams and Britton at the training camp.

In addition to being given the opportunity to train with other top 14 year olds, these players will be exposed to the action and excitement of a Davis Cup tie. Earlier this week the USTA named Andy Roddick, James Blake and Mike and Bob Bryan to the squad that will be taking on the Romanians.
