USA Team Tennis Southeast Regional Championships Information

This year's USA Team Tennis Southeast Regional Championships will be held October 4-6 at the Stone Mountain Tennis Center in Atlanta. Below is some general information about the Regional Championships:

Entry Deadline: September 20, 2002

Team Deposit (refunable): $250 - The deposit will be returned to the Head Coach at the end of the Regional Championships.

Entry Fee (non-refunable): $35 per participant; Please make checks payable to Stone Mountain Tennis Center.

Send: Each player must submit an individual entry form along with the team entry form and a copied roster. The team captain must provide a copy of an original roste. If you do not have access to your roster, please contact your section office.

Note: There will be a mandatory meeting for all participating tennis coaches on Friday, October 4, 2002 at 7 pm in Hospitality room #122.

  • The Regional Championships are only comprised of the White Division Teams, Stars and Stripes USTA/Sectional Champions and Finalists.
  • Each USTA Section sends two teams from both levels, Stars and Stripes, to the Regional Championships.
  • At the Regional Championships teams representing their sections compete against teams from other sections in their region.
  • Teams at the Regional Championships play a flighted round robin format, with individual matches playing 2 out of 3 – 4 game sets with a 12-point tiebreaker for the 3rd set. A team match consists of a boy’s and girl’s singles match, a boy’s and girl’s doubles match and a mixed doubles match. The winner of a team match is determined by total games won. Winners of their flights, in both levels, play for the championship.
