Rankings as of April 24, 2003
The Florida women and Illinois men are No. 1 in this week's Omni Hotels Collegiate Tennis Rankings for Division I, released by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) today.
Florida (25-2) returns to No. 1 in the women's rankings for the first time since March 12 after capturing its 12th SEC tournament title last weekend. Stanford (19-1) drops to No. 2, just 0.41 behind the Gators (in the ITA's point-per-match computer ranking). Top-ranked Illinois, the No. 1 seed in this weekend's Big Ten Tournament in Evanston, Ill., completed its regular season at 23-0. The last men's team to enter the NCAA Championships undefeated was Stanford in 1998. Last weekend Illinois locked up its seventh straight Big Ten regular season title.
