Reynolds Reaches Savannah Challenger Doubles Final

Bobby Reynolds reached the Tail 2010 USTA Savannah Challenge doubles final with South African Fritz Wolmarans but fell to Jamie Baker and James Ward of Great Britain 6-3, 6-4. Reynolds, of Acworth, Ga., and Walmarans were playing as wild cards.

Kei Nishikori of Japan defeated American Ryan Sweeting in the singles final 6-4, 6-0. Sweeting downed Donald Young, of Atlanta, in a semifinal 6-4, 6-1.

Donald Young of Atlanta moved into the Tail 2010 USTA Savannah Challenge quarterfinals with a 6-2, 6-3 defeat of Ryler DeHeart. He'll face Catalin Gard of Romania.

Bobby Reynolds lost his second-round match to up-and-coming American Ryan Sweeting 6-3, 7-6(3). Reynolds, of Acworth, Ga., is in the doubles semifinals with South African Fritz Wolmarans.

Georgians Donald Young and Bobby Reynolds advanced to the second round of the Tail 2010 USTA Savannah Challenge.

Young, of Atlanta, eliminated wild card Greg Ouellette 6-1, 6-2. Acworth, Ga.'s Reynolds took out American Daniel Kosakowski 4-6, 7-5, 6-0.
 
The $50,000 tournament is running May 3-9 at the Franklin Creek Tennis Center, The Landings Club.  Last year’s tournament was awarded the Special Tennis Event of the Year award by USTA Georgia.

The best known names in the draw are long-time American stars Taylor Dent and Jan-Michael Gambill, who lost in the first round of singles.
