Where's Melanie? Everywhere

Since her unexpected success at the US Open and Wimbledon this summer, Melanie Oudin has gone from a young and up-and-coming tennis player to a sought-after media sensation, plus media draw.

Oudin was named to represent the U.S. in the Hopman Cup with former Georgia Bulldog John Isner. The tournament in Perth, Australia, runs from Jan. 2-9, 2010 and matches players from eight countries in singles and mixed doubles matches.

Additionally, Oudin with headline three of four matches planned for Southern cities in December, along with the Bryan brothers, Isner and Mardy Fish.

The list of her off-court accomplishments is longer than her seven Grand Slam victories this year. Here are some of the notable TV appearances, events and media attention the Marietta, Ga. 17-year-old has garnered in the last few weeks:

• Throwing out the first pitch at the Saturday, Sept. 19 Atlanta Braves baseball game
• Receiving an honor and jersey at the Sunday, Sept. 20 Atlanta Falcons football game
• Ringing the bell to open the NASDAQ stock exchange with Sam Querrey
• Fashion Night Out in New York
• Appeared in a SunTrust Bank ad
