Tennis Gold Medalist to Compete in Atlanta

David Wagner of Portland, Ore., the reigning gold medalist in doubles and the bronze medalist in singles in the Paralympics in Beijing, has committed to compete in the 2008 Legs Don’t Work.com Run/Roll Tennis National Championship presented by the Friends of Bitsy Grant Tennis Oct. 10 and 11 at the Bitsy Grant Tennis Center in Atlanta, Legs Don’t Work.com announced today.

The winners of Run ‘n Roll events at the USTA Sectionals and at tournaments sponsored by Atlanta's Shephard Center and the Rehabilitation Hospitals and Centers of America have qualified to compete in the tournament.

The players welcome recpetion and the pairings/draw party on Thurs. Oct. 9 from 5-9 p.m. at the Buckhead location of the PGA TOUR Superstore on Garson Drive, Atlanta will open the week of tennis in metro Atlanta. A press conference will be conducted at 7 p.m.

Guest speakers, nightly entertainment, networking, clinics, and daily “hit for prizes” are all components of the weekend event.
