After an exciting 2007 season culminating in the first home final in 15 years, Team USA kicked off their 2008 Davis Cup quest with a 4-1 win over Austria in February. When facing each other in Davis Cup action, Team USA and France are tied at 7-7. With great players on both sides, it promises to be an exhilarating weekend.
Winston-Salem hosted the 2007 Davis Cup World Group Quarterfinal between the United States and Spain in 2007. The event was played at the Winston-Salem Entertainment-Sports Complex in front of sold-out crowds that made the quarterfinal the third-highest-attended Davis Cup competition in U.S. history.
