Bobby Reynolds and Doubles Partner Win Music City Challenger

November 13, 2007 02:41 PM

This annual tournament draws in some of the top players from around the world, looking to showcase their talent.

Georgia native, Bobby Reynolds, felt right at home at his alma mater, Vanderbilt University last weekend. Reynolds had an impressive run to try and capture the singles title, but came up short after losing to Alex Kuznetsov in the semifinal round, 6-7(3), 6-2, 7-6(4). Fellow Georgia native, Donald Young, also made a run for the singles title, but fell in the quarterfinals to the No. 3 seed, Robert Kendrick, 4-6, 6-3, 6-2.

Although Bobby Reynolds fell short for the singles title he and partner, Rajeev Ram, ended up walking away with the doubles title after defeating the No. 1 seeds, Ashley Fisher and Stephen Huss, 6-4, 5-7, 10-8. This win topped last year’s doubles finish as Reynolds and doubles partner, Andre Sa, lost in the semifinal round.
