The Pacific Life Tri-Level Championship
‘Southern Men’s Regional Qualifier’
November 2, 3 & 4, 2007

The Lake Norman Tennis Association (LNTA) is proud to host The Pacific Life Tri-Level Championship – Southern Men’s Regional Qualifier to be held November 2, 3 and 4 in Cornelius, NC. This is an NTRP tournament with teams competing from several Southern cities at the 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 levels. The winners of the 3.5, 4.0 and 4.5 divisions will represent the USTA Southern Section at “The Pacific Life Tri-Level Championship” finals to be held in Indian Wells, CA in tandem with the ATP Masters Series Pacific Life Open in March 2008.

Players must have a valid NTRP computer rating and live in the USTA Southern Section area to participate in this Southern Men’s Regional Qualifier.

A portion of your entry fee will be donated to the American Heart Association. So please sign up now to help cure heart disease.
Format*: Men’s 3.5, 4.0 & 4.5 doubles pairings. Draws are limited – Sign up early. Play is scheduled to be an eight game pro set round robin, with each team playing the others entered in their division. If necessary the divisions will be divided into flights at the discretion of the Tournament Committee.
USTA Rules of Tennis and The Code shall apply.

Site**: Jetton Park, Cornelius, NC (park entry fee will be paid by LNTA) Court Type: 8 hard courts.

Player Requirements: 1) Players must have a current NTRP computer rating of 3.5, 4.0 or 4.5 that can be validated in “Find a Rating” in Tennis Link and live in the USTA Southern Section area. 2) Self-rated players will not be allowed to compete.

Rating Rules: IMPORTANT SO READ CAREFULLY: The Pacific Life Championships, held in March 2008 in Indian Wells, CA will use the 2007 year end ratings for entry. . If you believe your NTRP rating will advance to one level higher, then you should compete at that level in this event. In the event that your NTRP rating is advanced and your appeal is denied, then your partner will have the opportunity to substitute a player of the division NTRP level they won. If your NTRP rating is dropped, you will be required to play at the level that you qualified at.

Registration Deadline: Monday, October 22, 2007

Tournament Provisions: Water and Gatorade will be provided by LNTA. All entrants will receive a box lunch on Saturday.

Additional Fund Raiser: A Radar Gun will be set up on one of the tennis courts to test your service speed against your favorite professional. All proceeds from the Radar Gun will go to the American Heart Association.

In the event inclement weather prevents the completion of tournament on November 2-4, players may be asked to reschedule and play matches on their own.
