On serve with the start of the US Open Tennis Championship in New York,
a new radio program called
TENNIS-TALK
premieres Sunday, August 26th from 4pm to 5pm
on Nashville’s WLAC / 1510-AM.
Hosted by: BILL RIDDLE – a Mt. Juliet native and USPTA and PTR Certified Tennis Professional. Currently, Bill is the Head Tennis Coach at Cumberland University, and Tennis Director at Bluegrass Yacht and Country Club.
Bill has over 19 years of experience coaching, teaching, promoting and playing tennis. He has worked with and directed a wide variety of local, regional, national and international tennis tournaments and events for such organizations as WORLD TEAM TENNIS, the Virginia Slims Legends, the USPTA and the USTA. Two of the more "high profile" tennis events Bill has helped direct have been the Anguilla Tennis Academy's International Junior Camp and the "Country in the Caribbean" music & tennis festival in the British West Indies.
Through his tennis management company, Tennis Unlimited Promotions, he has been able to also work with a variety of world-class tennis events, programs and people to promote and grow the game of tennis. Tennis takes up a large part of his life and has also giving him a wealth of outstanding life experiences and friends. Bill works hard to "give back" to the sport that has given him so much.
One of his current projects is serving as the Co-Chairman and Tournament Director for the Music City Tennis Invitational Tennis Tournament held annually to benefit the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Child Development Center in Nashville, Tennessee. To date the MCTI has raised over $1million dollars to benefit local charities. Bill also serves as a featured speaker at numerous tennis industry workshops and conventions throughout the US and Europe.
