LSU hosts Collegiate Wheelchair Tournament

The LSU Collegiate Wheelchair Regional Tennis Tournament was held at the Lamar Tennis Center in Baton Rouge, LA and drew the top collegiate wheelchair players from around the South.

The University of Arizona was represented by Eddie Medel, Laurence Zalmanowitz, Jackie Cimino, and Jeff Odem. Middle Tennessee State University was represented by Kevin Green and Michael Paul and Louisiana State University was represented by Shane Theriot. In the top half of the draw Zalmanowitz defeated Paul in the first round and then went on to beat top seeded Medel. On the other side of the draw Green defeated Jackie Cimino in the first round and Shane Theriot in the second before facing off with Zalmonowitz in the finals. Zalmonowitz prevailed capturing the Regional Championship title.

Green and Paul teamed up for the doubles and successfully beat every competitior to gain the title.
