October 3, 2006 09:42 AM

Bobby Reynolds of Acworth, Georgia captured the singles and doubles title at the USTA Men’s $50K Challenger held at the Philcrest Hills Tennis Club in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

Reynolds won the singles division and the doubles competition with partner Rajeev Ram. Reynolds beat every American, including the number 2, 3, and 4 seeds he met in the singles division handily; never dropping a set. Reynolds defeated Michael Russell in the finals to claim the $7,200 prize money. Reynolds then teamed with fellow American, Ram to sweep the doubles division without losing a set. The duo defeated number 1 seed Scott Lipsky and David Martin in the championships to earn $3,100.

A community involvement clinic was held on Sunday, September 24th before the final round of qualifying started. This clinic benefited The Day Center for the Homeless and Helping Hands of Tulsa.

Scoville Jenkins of College Park, Georgia competed in the doubles division and Donald Young participated in the singles competition of the USTA Challenger of Oklahoma.
