The North Carolina Tennis Association recently took on two new staff members: Cy King of Raleigh as the NC Tennis Service Representative and Liliana Camara of Winston-Salem as the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator.
Cy King has already begun to take on his new duties as the Tennis Service Representative (TSR) for North Carolina. He will be visiting facilities throughout NC assisting each area with their specific needs in the promotion and development of tennis. King’s valuable experience as a pioneer for several of Raleigh’s nationally recognized tennis programs in Raleigh will no doubt benefit those he encounters as he travels throughout North Carolina’s tennis communities.
Liliana Camara will also tackle a newly created position as the Hispanic Outreach Coordinator. Her main responsibility will be to use tennis as a vehicle to initiate and/or cultivate relationships with Hispanic communities throughout North Carolina. Her efforts towards this goal will include coordinating Hispanic-focused carnivals and events with strong follow-up programs. Other duties will include seeking out and developing a directory of bi-lingual tennis professionals and volunteers to help with these efforts. Camara comes in with a strong professional background developed from work with several local marketing and communication based companies that specialize in the Hispanic demographic.
