OLN and the Tennis Channel to Air 2006 Davis Cup Quarterfinals Between Team USA and Chile

Coverage begins April 7 from Rancho Mirage, CA

Andy Roddick, James Blake and World No. 1 Doubles Team Bob and Mike Bryan to Lead U.S. Team

OLN and The Tennis Channel, the domestic television partners for all U.S. Davis Cup action in 2006, resume coverage of the elite, international competition on April 7 when the Quarterfinals commence from Mission Hills Country Club in Rancho Mirage, California. OLN will provide complete live television coverage of the U.S. Team’s quarterfinal match-up against Chile, which will be followed by same-day, prime-time replays on The Tennis Channel. The coverage will be hosted by Leif Shiras and Barry MacKay. OLN is the leader in competitive and adrenaline-charged content, including the NHL and the Tour de France; The Tennis Channel is the only 24-hour TV destination dedicated to tennis and the active lifestyle that surrounds it.

The Davis Cup telecast partnership between OLN and The Tennis Channel will remain in place throughout 2006, as long as the U.S. team continues to advance in this year’s competition. Should the U.S. team defeat Chile in Rancho Mirage, it would host the winner of the quarterfinal tie between France and Russia from Sept. 22-24. Select U.S. Davis Cup matches will be available for replay at OLNTV.com. Details will be available on the web site.

U.S. Davis Cup Captain Patrick McEnroe recently announced World No. 4 Andy Roddick, James Blake, who, at No. 9, is at his career-high ranking, and World No. 1 doubles team and 2006 Australian Open doubles champions, Bob and Mike Bryan.

No. 19 Fernando Gonzalez paces the opposing squad from Chile, and is joined by No. 43 Nicolas Massu, No. 105 Paul Capdeville and No. 181 Adrian Garcia. The team is captained by Paul Gildemeister.
