Macon, GA, representing the USTA Southern Section, captured the 18 and under title at the USA Team Tennis Regional Championships held at the USTA Florida Tennis Center. Alpharetta, Ga., representing the USTA Southern Section, earned second place in the 14 and under Division at the USA Team Tennis Regional Championships held at the USTA Florida Tennis Center.
Macon, GA came away with the best team record (5-0) and an overall game record of 251-179 in capturing the title. Macon, GA competed in the 18 and under division which contained six teams from other USTA Sections throughout the Southeast region of the country. Each team earned a spot in the Regional Championships by placing first or second at their USTA Sectional event.
The team is captained by Andrew Belk and includes the following team members: David Welesko, Desmond Watson, Kayley Hotchkiss, Marie Eanes-Fennelly, Rachael Feibelman, Reid Baker and Stephanie Lyons.
Alpharetta, GA came away from the Regionals with a team record of 5-0 and an overall game record of 165-123 in finishing second to the team from San Juan, Puerto Rico. Alpharetta, GA competed in the 14 and under division which contained six teams from other USTA Sections throughout the Southeast region of the country. Each team earned a spot in the Regional Championships by placing first or second at their USTA Sectional event.
The team is coached by Denise Templeton and includes the following team members: Andrew Smith, Dylan Templeton, Jack Scherger, Jeffrey Gabriel, Jessica Tuggle, Jessica Kinskey, Jordana Klein, Megan Travers, Raymond Smets and Sarah Macy.

USA Team Tennis (Youth) is a 6 to 8 week program of team practice and match play for boys and girls, ages 6 to 18, who want to play tennis on teams. Teams are comprised of players of similar age and skill, and they compete against other teams from the same geographic region in one of three league divisions: 12 & under, 14 & under or 18 & under.
In USA Team Tennis, the team concept emphasizes fun, fitness, and friends. The focus in this kind of play is on enjoying the exhilaration of exercise and refining the skills that make tennis fun for players at all ages and levels of competition.
