A Different Kind Of Love Takes Place During Tennis Month In South Carolina

May 18, 2005 09:54 AM

A different kind of Love took place on May 8 at Riverside Tennis Club in Greer, South Carolina; the marriage of Laura Farr and Al Pearce.

In 2001, Laura Farr was coaching the Daniel High girls’ tennis team and a member at Spindletree Racquet Club in Seneca, South Carolina. Al had moved to the area in 1979 from Ohio, he too was a member at Spindletree. They met playing tennis; it was only natural that their marriage take place on court. On May 8th at 2 pm, Laura and Al were married on Court 1 at the Riverside Tennis Club in Greer, South Carolina. Approximately 80 people came out for the ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the club.

Ray Frazier, Owner and Director of Tennis, said, “For us, it was a privilege to host the event. The tennis court was fitting for this couple that met and spend a great deal of time playing tennis. A large number of our members came out and celebrated, we really enjoyed it.”

Riverside Tennis Club is Greenville county's newest tennis facility. For information about Riverside Tennis Club you can call 864-848-0918 or visit our website, www.riversidetennisclub.com.
