Mercedes-Benz of Nashville presents the 32nd Annual Music City Tennis Invitational

March 8, 2005 04:25 PM

Mark your calendars and make your reservations today as Mercedes-Benz of Nashville presents the 32nd annual Music City Tennis Invitational (MCTI). This exciting tennis event will be held at the state of the art Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Tennis Center at Vanderbilt University on Saturday, April 23 through Sunday, April 24, 2005 in Nashville, TN.

This charitable event, founded by the Nashville music community to help raise funds for the Center for Child Development (CCD) at Vanderbilt’s Children’s Hospital, is the longest-running music-related tennis tournament in the country and is the only fundraiser for the CCD. The tournament provides an opportunity for doubles team tennis for players of all levels. Teams are assigned by level of play. Players may sign up with a friend, or be assigned a partner prior to match play.

The event features a private pre-match cocktail party, silent auction and Saturday night party. The weekend is packed full of activities and is guaranteed to be the hit of your spring calendar. Arista Nashville recording artist Phil Vassar is the event celebrity spokesperson. Nashville Oldies 96.3 radio legend Coyote McCloud is among the participating celebrities.

MCTI registration is $225 (with early bird registration at $195 until March 29, 2005). USTA members play for $195. All first time players can register for the low introductory price of $175! A portion of the entry fee is tax-deductible and includes two tickets to the opening reception, a ticket to the Saturday night bash, breakfast and lunch during the two tournament days, plus a loaded goodie bag and free practice rounds on the outdoor courts of the Brownlee O. Currey, Jr. Tennis Center on April 22, 2005. Reservations for the free practice rounds may be made the week prior to April 22 by contacting the Tennis Center at 615-322-6068.
