USA Teacher Conference Returns to NYC

July 14, 2004 11:00 AM

The 34th annual USA Tennis Teachers Conference will be held August 28-31 at the Grand Hyatt Hotel and USTA National Tennis Center in New York City. Over the years, the TTC has made strides to help equip tennis teachers with the tools and knowledge to educate, coach and instruct individuals to play tennis. The TTC also offers comprehensive sessions on how to administer tennis programs through appropriate business tactics and how to manage career and financial matters.

In an effort to expand our TTC audience, this year's program schedule will also include sessions geared for high school and college level coaches. Additionally, all program sessions will fall under one of the following coaching competency areas: Coaching skills; Strategy and tactics; Tennis technique; Health sciences; and Tennis business.

Brad Gilbert, co-author of Winning Ugly and current coach to Andy Roddick will launch the conference Sunday, August 29 with an interactive opening session. Other featured speakers will follow throughout the event: Andy Brandi, Wayne Bryan, Louis Cayer, Dave Porter, Sandi Procter and Craig Tiley. For a detailed program schedule, to register and reserve a hotel room online or for more conference information, visit www.usta.com/communitytennis.
