Davis Cup Ticket Sale Starts Monday!

The USTA has announced that tickets for the 2004 United States vs. Belarus Davis Cup semifinal September 24-26 at the Family Circle Tennis Center in Charleston, SC will go on sale to the general public on Monday, June 21 at 10 am EST.

Tickets for the three-day series can be purchased by calling (888) 484-8782 (USTA).

2003 US Open Champion Andy Roddick and No. 1 Doubles Team Bob and Mike Bryan are expected to lead the U.S. as they take on Belarus.

Tickets are broken down into four price categories starting at $90 for the three days of competition. Tickets are also being offered for $180, $270 and $375. Play on Friday, Sept. 24 will consist of two singles matches starting at 1 pm, while Saturday’s play will be comprised of one doubles match starting at 2:30 pm Sunday’s final day of play will feature the two reverse singles matches starting at 12:30 pm.

Andy Roddick, the reigning US Open champion, and Bob and Mike Bryan, the world’s No. 1 doubles team, are expected to the lead the United States team against Belarus. Roddick holds a 12-3 career Davis Cup record and is undefeated this year in Davis Cup play with a 4-0 record. The Bryans are undefeated in Davis Cup play with a perfect 3-0 record. The United States advanced to this semifinal with a first round victory over Austria in February and a quarterfinal win over Sweden in April.

Belarus, a former Soviet Republic, is the Davis Cup “Cinderella” in 2004 having advanced to the Davis Cup semifinal for the first time with upset victories over Russia in the first round and Argentina in the quarterfinals. Belarus is led by two-time US Open doubles champion Max Mirnyi and 2000 Wimbledon semifinalist Vladimir Voltchkov.
