The USTA Southern Section announced today that Mary Hatfield, former tennis administrator for the Macon Tennis Association and the heart and soul of tennis in the Macon, GA community, has been hired as the organization’s TennisLink Coordinator. Mary has also served a career of volunteering in tennis at all levels. Her first day will be Monday, December 1.

Mary Hatfield, the heart and soul of tennis in Macon, GA for over twenty-five years, will join the USTA Southern Section staff in December.
In her new position Hatfield will provide TennisLink customer support and training throughout the USTA Southern Section. She will coordinate all aspects of TennisLink, including tournaments and rankings and USA League Tennis Adult/Senior Leagues and Team Tennis programs. TennisLink is the USTA’s web based management tool for all tournament, adult/senior league, team tennis and program information.

“Mary is perfect for this position and will be a real asset to our team,” said John Callen, executive director of the USTA Southern Section. “She has a wonderful rapport with the state, section and national staff and volunteers and has years of experience running tournaments and leagues. Her skills and passion for the game put her in a class of her own.”

Hatfield has over twenty-five years of both on and off-court tennis experience. She has been associated with the Macon Tennis Association since 1991, serving in various capacities including President, and has been honored time and time again for her extensive contributions to the game.
