This summer The Tennis Channel will take you on tour with an incredible lineup of live tennis action. The action started in Newport R.I. on July 8th, with the induction of Boris Becker into the International Tennis Hall of Fame. The Tennis Channel then stayed in Newport and covered the action from the greatest grass court tournament in America -- the Miller Lite Hall of Fame Championships.
No team competition rivals the drama and excitement of Fed Cup matches. And on July 19th, The Tennis Channel will be broadcasting live from Washington D.C. to show the United States battle Italy. Also, watch the defending world champion Slovak Republic take on Belgium in Belgium. The Tennis Channel is showing each of the four quarterfinal ties in their entirety.
The next live broadcast features Lleyton Hewitt, Marat Safin and Gustavo Kuerten battling for the Mercedes-Benz Cup in Los Angeles, starting July 28th. That weekend the action gets even more exciting, as The Tennis Channel will have semis and finals coverage from the Legg Mason tournament in Washington, D.C.
Things don’t slow down in August… The JP Morgan Chase tournament will be the premiere event in the new Home Depot Center in Carson, California. Then the network heads to the east coast, with live coverage from Long Island at the TD Waterhouse Cup.
And if that isn’t enough -- Sprinkled between the tournament coverage are several live World Team Tennis Events. The WTT events feature players such as Andre Agassi, Lindsay Davenport and John McEnroe. After the season is over The Tennis Channel will air the WTT finals -- live from the USTA National Tennis Center.
