USA Tennis Month
is a national celebration of all things tennis. Throughout the month of May, community tennis associations, tennis facilities, clubs and schools throughout the USTA Southern Section will host a variety of unique and exciting tennis festivals, carnivals and events where visitors can watch, try and learn tennis. Friday, May 2 – Atlanta, GA
The Atlanta Community Tennis Association will be hosting a USA Tennis Rock-n-Rally event at the South Fulton Tennis Center. Come out and enjoy a day of tennis fun with games, prizes and refreshments. Go to of call 770-416-4333 for more information.

Saturday, May 3 – Charlotte, Asheville and Wilmington, NC
These three cities will be kicking off USA Tennis Month in North Carolina in style as they each hold their own USA Tennis Rock-n-Rally events! Tennis Fun for the whole Family! Go to or call 336-852-8577 for details.

Saturday, May 3 – Rocky Mount, NC

Tuesday, May 6 – Mobile, AL
The Southern Alabama Tennis Association is hosting this exciting USA Tennis Rock-n-Rally event at the City of Mobile Government Complex. This fun day will be filled with all things tennis. Contact Melissa White via email at for more details.

Friday, May 9, 2003 - Centerville, TN
Come out to the Hickman County Tennis Association Cookout and League Kickoff and learn about the new kids' programs starting in May. This event is also your last chance to sign up for the local summer league. Contact Michelle Gilbert at for further details.

Saturday, May 10 – Brentwood, TN
Come out to the Williamson County Parks & Recreation Indoor Sports Complex for an exciting Free Tennis Lesson & Racquet Demo Day. Now's your chance to meet the staff pros, get a free lesson and try out the latest racquets from HEAD/Penn, Wilson, Prince and Dunlop. Saturday, May 10 – Nashville, TN
Mercedes-Benz of Nashville presents the Music City Tennis Invitational Pro-Am & Golf Scramble.The entry fee is $125 (includes both the Pro-Am and Golf Scramble). The Pro-Am runs from 8:30am - noon and is hosted by the Nashboro Village Racquet Club. All proceeds raised during the event will benefit the Vanderbilt Children's Hospital Child Development Center. Check out the all day Savannah Tennis Festival on May 17. Held in Bacon Park, the event is scheduled from 9am - 3pm and promises to be fun for kids and adults alike! Thursday, May 29, 2003 - Bristol, TN
Check out the Third Annual Free One-Day Clinic at the Bristol Parks & Recreation Department. Hosted by the Bristol NJTL Chapter, this event will be especially useful Parks & Recreation leaders offering summer programs in the Upper East as a teaching pro from eastern Virginia will be conducting a special on court program with training aids.
