Did you know that this is the 7th year that Spain is the country with the most players on the ATP Tour, with 14 in 2002 and 17 in 2001?

In 2002, 3 out of every 10 ATP finalists were from Spain, and that is not even counting the players that live and train in Spain, including Younes El Aynaoui, Marat Safin, Hicham Arazi, and many others.

Barcelona is a great city and capital of European tennis. It has more tennis Clubs than the rest of Spain together. Every week there are tournaments for all levels within 25 km distance.

For juniors looking to take their game to the next level, Barcelona is a paradise. Players come to Barcelona from all over the world to train at the best academies in the world. A combination of clay court training, combined with tremendous coaching makes Barcelona the Mecca of world-class tennis.

One of the best-known tennis academies in Spain is the Sanchez – Casal Tennis Academy.
