Summer's Over! It's Time to Fall for Tennis!

This fall, the USTA Southern Section has something for everyone! From junior, college, and adult events to regional workshops, there is plenty of tennis to go around.

Juniors: This fall is full of exciting events at the local, state, and sectional level. There are tournaments galore, including two BullFrog/STA Junior Super Circuit & Challenger events, as well as the Southern Section Junior Davis Cup and Fed Cup events. The 2002 USA Team Tennis Regional Championships will be played October 4-5 at the Stone Mountain Tennis Center in Atlanta. Come check out the action as the best USA Team Tennis teams from the Southern Section compete against teams from Florida and Texas. Click here for more information.

In September, the USTA Southern Section will host the Junior Davis Cup and Fed Cup events. Play will feature teams made up of the Section's top juniors representing each of the nine states in the section. Information on the dates and locations of these events is available here. College: Now that school is back in, USA Tennis on College Campus is gearing up for another great year! From intramural and club teams to the National Campus Championships, this program has something for everyone! Seasons and programs vary from college to college, so contact your school today to find out more. For more information about the USA Tennis on College Campus program, click here.

Adults: The 2002 USA League Tennis National Championships are coming in October. With three national titles, two runners up, two third place, and three fourth place finishers at the 2001 National Championships, the Southern Section is looking to claim more national titles than ever before! The Men's and Women's National Intersectional Team Championships are coming up this fall as well. The men's tournament will be held in Jackson, Mississippi, while the women's tournament will be played in Montgomery, Texas. For more information on these prestigious tournaments, click here.

Also coming up in October is the USA League Tennis Mixed Doubles Sectional Championships in Chattanooga, Tennessee. This event is scheduled for October 18-21, and promises to deliver some of the best mixed doubles action that the Southern Section has to offer. Click here for more information.

There are plenty of state-level tournaments taking place this fall as well, along with the Southern Senior Clay Court Closed and Southern Open Clay Court Championships. To find more information on these events, click here.

Workshops: There is a Regional Community Development Workshop in Atlanta from October 11-13. The workshop will feature national speakers ready to update you on the latest trends in community tennis. Learn everything you need to know about how to raise your CTA to the next level!

Don't forget to register for the upcoming Southern Combo Doubles and USA League Tennis presented by Lincoln seasons! Deadlines vary from state to state, so contact your state office or local league coordinator for more information!
