Three Steps Required to be a Captain
#1. Background Screening
Each state has a background screening provider. Please click on your state below.
#2. Online Training
An online training course shall be provided by USTA Southern. All league coordinators, coaches and captains who meet the USTA Southern Jr. Team Tennis eligibility criteria shall be required to complete the online safety course before they are permitted to coach or participate in a Jr. Team Tennis team or activity, such as a practice session, match or tournament and thereafter, at least every two years.
#3. Register in Tennislink
TennisLink serves as the online registration process for Jr. Team Tennis. TennisLink also provides registration for up to two coaches/captains per team (a coach/captain as well as a co-captain). The individual, who is the primary contact for the team, and assuming team management and/or coaching responsibility, shall be listed as the Coach/Captain. If another individual will have regular and continuous contact with the team, he or she shall be entered in TennisLink as the co-captain.
