Financial Aid

The STPF provides need-based financial assistance for tournament travel expenses and entry fees to deserving juniors (12s-18s) from USTA Southern. Please download the application and send completed application along with a copy of your most recent federal tax return to:

Guidelines:

  • Applicant should exhibit good sportsmanship on the court at all times. (Players with 4 or more suspension points [code of conduct] are not eligible for aid until such time as those points drop below 4.)
  • Juniors must apply for financial assistance from their state office first.
  • A minimum sectional standing of 100 is required.
  • Birth certificate must be on file with the Southern Section office.
  • Family income of $99,000 or less to qualify (eligible to apply, but not a guarantee).
  • The maximum grant is $1,000 per junior per calendar year. (Additional $1,000 available for those competing at National Championships. Also, must be willing to participate in National team events, if asked.)
  • Receipts for how the aide was used MUST be submitted to the Southern Section office.
  • Applications MUST be submitted with a copy of previous year's signed and submitted Federal Tax Return. No applications will be considered without this material.
