What should I know if I am a captain?

Make your job as Captain easier!

    • Each captain is responsible for his/her team.
    • Communicate with your players.
    • Educate your players about the league rules.
    • Keep a copy of all of your players' USTA cards and expiration dates.
    • Keep your local coordinator's phone number handy.
    • Encourage your players to renewal/join by using the 1-800-990-USTA #.
    • Print or write legibly on control sheets and scorecards
    • Use the player's name as it appears on their USTA membership for the Control sheet and on the scorecard.
    • Be responsible for handling administrative affairs.
    • Be flexible and sensitive to your players needs.
    • Strive to be efficient with meeting given deadlines for turning in necessary materials.
