Event starts: Sunday July 17, 2011 at 2pm
Location: Rome Georgia. Berry College Centennial Dorms
Address: 2277 Martha Berry Highway NW. Mt. Berry, GA 30149
Event Contact: Will Glenn 706-248-1075 wglenn@sports.uga.edu
Event Fee: July 17-21 overnight campers $795

About this event: Coach Will Glenn and his staff provide campers with the same Championship instruction he utilized to coach John Isner during his 4 years at the University of Georgia and during the months that followed as John hit the scene on the professional tour. Coach Glenn will implement with each camper the same physical and mental drills that John trains with today so each can see what it takes to perform at the highest level.

John Isner’s Camp Goals: "Entering our second year of the camp our goal is to continue to provide an atmosphere where young players can see the physical and mental drills and exercises we do to be successful at the highest level. We want to provide the enthusiasm and encouragement to help our players understand the whole game of tennis and some simple strategies which junior players can master to play with purpose in each match."

Coach Will Glenn: "Our goal is to provide the best tennis camp experience tailored to each individual camper. We keep the numbers for this camp low so that we have a good ratio of coaches to campers. We pay particular attention to the focus on the mental side of the game and we teach our campers how John perceives tennis and the steps he goes through in his mind before each match, set, game, and point. Finally, we want to keep our players enthusiastic about the game of tennis and help them see the benefits of good competition down the road as they progress."

Objectives: John Isner and Coach Will Glenn have put together an all star staff of other top Division 1 coaches and players to help provide each camper with a tennis experience that will stay with them forever. Our objective is that campers will learn strategic tennis skills which will help improve each individuals overall understanding of the whole game of tennis. Through this, we will teach campers lessons in sportsmanship, the importance of a positive mental attitude, and how enthusiasm leads to great success.

For the beginner, basic fundamentals and stroke production will be emphasized. For the intermediate players, focus on fundamentals, grips, footwork, and strategy. The advanced player will be trained at the same intensity level which we trained John Isner here at the University of Georgia for 4 years. Along with match play and conditioning, many mental strategies will be covered and utilized. The ultimate goal is to challenge each camper to push for the next level.

Tuition includes room and board, all instruction, accident insurance, tournament matches, lectures, camp t-shirt, potential transportation and entry into Atlanta ATP event to watch John play.

Facilities: Located in Rome, Georgia, Berry College Varsity Tennis courts include 10 hard courts located in the middle of the campus. These courts will be used from Monday to Thursday. The courts on Sunday will be located at Coosa Country Club which has 5 hard and 5 clay courts.
